Album of the Week #2
The second entry to my 'Album of the Week' series comes from controversial Norwegian black metallers, Burzum, with their fourth studio album 'Filosofem' (1996).
Influenced by Norwegian mythology, the word Burzum translates to 'darkness' in the 'black speech', a language crafted by world renown author J.R.R Tolkien, and that's exactly what this album delivers. A selection of the rawest, dark, atmospheric black metal tracks of the time and to date.
Three tracks to check out:
Track No.1 Dunkelheit
Track No.2 Jesus' Tod
Track No.3 Erblicket Die Töchter Des Firmaments
Are you a fan of Burzum? Share your favorite tracks/album.
